Tara Reid and Ian Ziering hit the red carpet for the Sharknado: The 4th Awakens premiere. The grand event was held at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ian Ziering will slay again in Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens, reprising his role as shark-fighting hero Fin Shepard, while Tara Reid is set to return as April Wexler to reveal the outcome of the fan-voted #AprilLives or #AprilDies social campaign. The fourth addition to the hit global franchise also sees the return of David Hasselhoff as Gil Shepard and Ryan Newman as Claudia Shepard. Additional roles will be played by Tommy Davidson, Cheryl Tiegs, Gary Busey, Cody Linley, Imani Hakim and Masiela Lusha.

Sharknado 4 will take place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in Sharknado 3. Fin, his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks – and ‘nados! – are being whipped up in places (and ways) that are completely unexpected…

Sharknado: The 4th Awakens is an American disaster science fiction horror television film and the fourth installment in the Sharknado film series, following Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, and Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

The film premiered on Syfy in the United States on July 31, 2016.

In case you did already guess, the film title is a parody of the 2015 film Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. They also made fun of the poster and used a similar intro for the film.

Some interesting facts about the Sharknado series is that Tara Reid and Ian Ziering are the only 2 characters to appear in all 4 films. The series has also been given the reputation as the best worst film series ever. And since the first film, they seem ti keep getting worse. On Rotten Tomatoes, Sharknado has an 82% rating, Sharknado 2: The Second One at 59%, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! fell down 34%, and Sharknado: The 4th Awakens splats at 22%!
